Photos:Indiana mother clutching syringe found unconscious from an overdose with baby in the back seat.

Pictured above is an Indiana mother who was found overdosed and sprawled onto the wheel of her car while her baby cried in the backseat, authorities said.

Erika Hurt still had the syringe in her hand when she and her 10-month-old son were discovered in the parking lot of a Dollar General store over the weekend.
The 25-year-old mother was revived and then taken to a hospital. She was later charged with child neglect and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The local town marshal told the newspaper the crying infant discovered in the car is the face of a drug epidemic sweeping through Indiana and the rest of the country.
