Gambians in Jubilant Mood as Yahya Jemmah is EXILED!

Disillusioned, disenchanted and disappointed are all words you could be forgiven for using to describe deposed Gambia's President, Yahya Jammeh.

He vowed to rule the tiny country for a billion years, yet after 22 years, his rule ended if you may, on a rather negative note. He is being exiled to a west African country to enjoy his loot, which is believed to be very vast, what did you expect? A man who has ruled his country for 22 years, he probably is richer than the country.

The new president, a former Argos worker from north London, was sworn in on Thursday in Senegal and is now clear to begin his presidency and the difficult job of convincing tourists and Gambians alike that the storm is over.
