A pastor with the Redeem Christian Church of GOD has told of how he was brutalised my two soldiers as he inspected a building site at Paradise Estate Abuja. He recounts how he was flogged and hit with a rifle by Cpl. M Dankwa simply because he refused to obey their orders to frog jump, a term popularly used to describe a torture technique where the victim is asked to squat, and jump forward and backwards without standing up.
He said:
‘’ The soldiers kicked me in the stomach, another beat me till i collapsed, when they saw i was almost lifeless, they left me and i was rushed to the hospital’’
The Paradise estate manager Tobias Tokbe said he was not present when the alleged assault took place but he has received an apology from the soldiers involved but that is littleton late for the victims who already plan to take legal action.
