Sahara reporters is reporting that President Buhari has resubmitted the name of acting President Mr Ibrahim Magu to the senate for vetting and ratification.
It will be recalled that just last month, the Nigerian senate rejected his appointment saying security reports about the person of Mr Magu was not favourable for his clearance for the anti-graft agency’s top job and asked President Muhammadu Buhari who nominated him to immediately replaced him.
This is a clear indication that the president is ready to go toe-to-toe with the senate and has asked them to confirm his appointment by resubmitting his name back to them. The president must have been briefed on this so called ''security report'' and deemed it inconsequential, hence his decision to put Magu forward again.
