Beyonce Drew Inspiration From 15th Century Artworks For Her Pregnancy Photo

One of her pictures was actually inspired by a painting of 15th century Artist, Sandro Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus standing on a shell.  In Beyonce’s, she  can be seen next to a bust of Egyptian queen Nefertiti, adding a twist to it. 

In another of her photos, the child is Blue Ivy, whereas in Reni's painting , the child is Cupid who in classical mythology is often portrayed as Venus' son which dates back to the 17th century.
