Damage Control: Physically Challenged Man Assaulted By Army Personnel For Wearing A Camouflage Vest Meets Their Superior - Still Wearing His Camouflage Trouser (Believes In His Rights)

Col. Uko Akpan and his Deputy Director of Public Relations Col. Sagir Musa of the 302 Artillery Regiment met with the physically challenged man assaulted by Army personnel from their regiment Mr Chijioke Uraku from Ebonyi State as a show of support and to assure him that his assaulters have already been arrested and would be prosecuted.

It is worth pointing to the Chief of Army staff, that they must do more to ensure the appropriate training and awareness is given to the army to let them know Nigerians are not animals and there are legal route employed to deal with issues regarding Military/Civilian dress code as to their normal practice of unjustified use of force. Nigeria is fast becoming a civilised world and our Army should not be left behind.
