FRSC Officer And Wife Abducted In Ekiti State ''N20million Ransom Demanded''

Kidnappers have abducted an officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and his wife in Ekiti State on the outskirts of Ogotun-Ekiti Southwest Local Government Area.

The area recently has been overrun by criminals with nefarious intentions and motorist as well as pedestrians have all been targeted. A family who spoke anonymously said that the kidnappers have contacted the family on Sunday morning demanding N20 million ransom.

The Abductees were travelling in a navy blue Honda Accord car belonging to Oluwafemi’s elder brother, Oluwadare, also an FRSC officer serving in Ondo State.
The source said: “the family was contacted by those who abducted them and they demanded N20 million ransom.
“We don’t have money to pay; those holding them should release them unconditionally.
“It is very curious that some policemen mounted a checkpoint some two kilometers away from the scene of the robbery and abduction. The policemen were on Igbara Odo side.

“Efforts to get a reaction from Police spokesperson, Alberto Adeyemi were not successful at press time as he had not responded to phone calls put to his line.
