Harsh or Justified- Bail Conditions Given To Man Who Tore Police Inspector's Uniform In Ondo Will Leave You Scratching Your Head

A Magistrate Banji Ayeomoni, in Okitipupa Ondo State has handed down a severe punishment to a man who assaulted a Police Officer. 

The Magistrate Tuesday Morning slammed a N500,000 bail on 33-year-old man, Ranti Netufo, for allegedly tearing the uniform of a police inspector, Seyi Masewonu, attached to the Okitipupa Police Division. The culprit was also ordered to produce a surety as part of the bail condition after being charged with felony assault. 

Prosecutor Zedekiah Orogbemi, explained to the court how the accused assaulted the officer while he was performing is duty on January 9 around 8:30 p.m. at Hospital Road, Okitipupa. He has pleaded not guilty and the case was adjourned till February 13 for further hearing.
