Teacher In Kogi State Returns N130K In Overpaid Salary And Even Wrote A Letter Complaining About The Overpayment

In a show of exemplary honesty, a secondary school teacher in Kogi state, Mrs Abu Queen Ejura, was overpaid by N130,000 and decided instinctively to return the money back to her employer.

The Director General of Media and Publicity at the Governor's Office, Kogi State Mr Kingsley Fanwo who broke the story said:

‘’Honesty. This is the Kogi spirit. Our civil service is not all about fraud. We have honest and reliable civil servants.  Abu Queen Ejura is a teacher with a secondary school in Idah. She was overpaid to the tune of 130,000 Naira. Ejura withdrew what is legitimately hers and wrote to the screening committee to report the overpayment.’’
