Ever heard of the Eko Atlantic City? Well, It is a new city carved out from the Atlantic Ocean on the shorelines of the City Of Lagos. This new City was opened in Lagos on Thursday and it was down to the Former US President Bill Clinton, President Of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, Former Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu to boost confidence amongst the country's rich, that the mini Island is worth the shot.
Left for me, I would ask a simple question, what was the feasibility study and environmental study carried out before this Island was inhabited, in the long run, would the inhabitants of this Island be subjected to a threats from the much feared Atlantic Ocean?
Seems the Rich are looking for more and more places to hide. For now, lets enjoy the boost it brings to Lagos and pray the Contractors didn't put profit before safety.
