Impressed with his leadership skills, the Society of Jesus promoted Bergoglio and he served as provincial for Argentina from 1973 to 1979. He was transferred in 1980 to become the rector of the seminary in San Miguel where had had studied. He served in that capacity until 1986. He completed his doctoral dissertation in Germany and returned to his homeland to serve as confessor and spiritual director in Córdoba.
He has been elected pope to the throne of St Peter, he will be Pope Francis The First, Argentinian Pope, First ever Latin American Pope, 76 year old from the Jesuit order, Supreme pontiff, archbishop and sovereign of the Vatican, Emineza, Bishop of Rome. This is exactly what the church needs, someone who has fraternal backing, he is from the Jesuit order and they are known for being very intellectually humble. Lord have mercy on your church and give Pope Francis 1 what he needs to uplift the church. Use him lord.
