Woolwich Terrorists Michael Adebolajo Sentenced to Life in Prison Without Parole While Michael Adebowale Given Life With a Minimum of 45 years

Michael Adebolajo the main killer of Lee Rigby have been sentenced to life without Parole while younger  Michael Adebowale who played an equally deranged role in the killing is sentenced to life but with a minimum of 45 years much to the cheer of spectators outside the Old Baily (Crown Court) in London.

Mr Justice Sweeney said " This is connected to terrorism but there is no evidence of a wider role of any organized terrorist group" He also said there is no mitigating factor for Michael Adebolajo and he would serve a whole life tariff" while Michael Adebowale was given the 45years because of his age and role in the killing.

Adebolajo screamed at Mr Justice Sweeney after he accused them of betraying Islam, saying "that's a lie, you know nothing about Islam" before he was restrained by court security. The Pair were then later taken back to Prison because of their constant interruption and screaming at Justice Sweeney. The sentencing was carried out in their absence but was swiftly later relayed to them.

Sky Correspondent also said: "in all my years of coverage, i have never seen such violence in the dock after they started fighting with prison guards"

Michael Adebolajo, 29, and Michael Adebowale, 22, mowed down and knifed young soldier Lee Rigby almost decapitating him with a meat cleaver, after spotting him wearing a Help for Heroes hooded top. The pair were convicted of the murder more than two months ago but have now been sentenced to

Mr Justice Sweeney said their lack of remorse and not guilty plea means the parents and family of Lee Rigby had to relive the murder in court during the trail. He also told them there is no room for rehabilitation and their sentence is solely for punishment for their actions which sparked unrest all through the United Kingdom.

Fusilier Rigby, a father of one, was murdered as he walked back to the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich in south-east London on May 22 last year.After the men mowed him down, Adebolajo took hold of the soldier's hair and repeatedly hacked at the right side of his neck. Adebowale, the passenger, leapt from the car and stabbed the fusilier with a knife. The two men were also captured on CCTV dragging the soldier's body from the pavement to the middle of the road, in front of pedestrians and commuters.
