River State Hardman Chidi Lloyd Discharged and Acquitted Over Attempted Murder Case

Remember him? Am sure you do. He is former Majority Leader of the Rivers House of Assembly, Mr. Chidi Lloyd and has been discharged and acquitted this morning by a High Court in Port Harcourt after been charged with attempted murder.

Mr Lloyd was alleged to have hit one Mr Michael Chinda on the head with the River State House of Assembly mace during a fight between supporters of Governor Ameachi and supporters as well as Member Reps of an opposition leader in 2013 and was arrested and charged for attempted murder.

While delivering the judgment, the judge said, there was nothing the court could do in the matter as the police was not willing to prosecute the case further leaving the case dead in the water, hence his judgment.
