Robert Mugabe Wants a Pay Rise as President

Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe wants a pay rise and wants it fast after revealing his current salary is just not enough. Despite spending a whopping £3 million on his daughter’s wedding earlier this month, Zimbabwe’s defiant president has put it to the treasury to make urgent room for the increase despite the country being bankrupt.

Ruling Zimbabwe since leading them to independence from Britain in 1980, is asking for an increase despite failing on his election promise to raise the salaries of public sector workers. Most workers earn around £200 a month. Robert Mugabe currently receives around £6,000 salary.
