An Icon Gone Too Soon: Renowned Nollywood Director Amaka Igwe Is Dead

The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning after a very sad news broke yesterday 28th April 2014.

Nollywood Pioneer, actress, writer, director and founder of Amaka Igwe Studios, Amaka Igwe has died at the age of 60. She was made famous many years ago after producing hit movies like, Rattle Snake, Checkmate and popular Series Fuji House of Commotion.

Mrs. Igwe reportedly died on the set on a soap opera she was directing in Enugu state after she suffered an asthma attack yesterday.

She is survived by her husband Mr. Charles Igwe and 3 children.
