Yesterday, The ITV News UK, referred to Nigeria as the Richest failed state ever and the country is sure living up to that expectation. Yesterday also, i posted a story about a woman suspected of being a kidnapper being burnt alive by an angry mob in Lagos, well sit back and relax, its De ja vu.
This time, it happened at Adegbola junction in Akure, Ondo state. A man was burnt alive after allegedly being found with a child who was neither dead nor alive, some say the man was pretending to be mad but whether or not he was mad or pretending, the angry mob was having none of it. They descended on him and quickly gave him the dreaded jungle justice.
Characteristics of a failed state: Total disregard for human life, no security, zero empathy, widespread anarchy and unsatisfactory governance.
