Mother of 3 recently engaged is shot dead by a vicious thug after refusing to give a man her phone number.

 An unidentified man is behind bars and is expected to be arraigned on murder charges after killing a Detroit mother and injuring five members of the same family early Saturday morning.
She was shot dead by a vicious thug who felt the need to take her life because she refused to give him her phone number.

The woman’s name is Mary “Unique” Spears, and she was only 27-years-old and was shot in the head early Saturday outside the American Legion Joe Louis Post No. 375 on the city’s east side, while five other family members were wounded by gunfire in the hail of bullets. Mary’s family, including her fiancee, were peacefully honoring the life of a man whose funeral they had just attended, according to one of Mary’s family members.

The family’s time together was cut short when the 38-year-old murderer, unknown to the family, began to bully Spears.“He said, ‘Can I get your name, your number,”the relative, who asked not to be identified over fear of retribution, told the FOX affiliate.”She said, ‘I have a man, I can’t talk to you.'”The man would not stop harassing spears, so as a result she told him off.


The man was kicked out of the club by 2am, but confronted Mary, hitting her and starting a brawl out from along Sherwood near 7 Mile.“He shot her one time,” the relative told the station. “And she tried to run. And he shot her two more times in her head.”Five of Mary’s family members were injured and they are all expected to survive. Mary had three sons, ages 8, 4, and 1, family said.

A family member created a GoFundMe page to raise money for funeral costs. Some $1,500 had been raised by Tuesday afternoon. “It just hurts, I can’t even sleep at night to see (Spears) laying there in the blood,”
