Comedians, Basketmouth & Ali Baba blast Nigerians over his February 14 London show.

So Nigerian comedian Basketmouth was blasted when news went viral that he was bringing some top Nigerian entertainers to London for his Feb 14th comedy show, same day Nigeria's elections was supposed to hold....

Basketmouth was blasted for being so unpatriotic that he had to a press release to explain his innocence. Turns out he just had the last laugh with this election postponement.

The 2 friends join forces to criticize us for calling Basket out...I never did Basket. Lol.

Let me just first say, that I will not be surprised if this post makes the blogs. I won't, because when I write about my shows & projects, the same blogs blind them...... So let's make some sense from the postponement rumors & something that happened weeks back. Some people will shout at the top of their voices, even when they do not know what the real issues are. @BASKET_MOUTH had fixed the date of his show long before the election was fixed. But some OVERSABI people wanted him to cancel his show. Cancel his show to show that he is patriotic ABI? Some of all these blog critics, have brothers, sisters, uncles and aunts who are traveling in droves to avoid the election. Yet, they will criticize a show planned before INEC fixed a date. How many of the people who were talking crap had their PVC, even at the time of commenting! Some do not even reside in Nigeria, talk less of voting! I am further convinced that some people actually get their kicks from jumping on anything that is posted, just to appear current & more concerned. Above all, it has become the quickest way to get followers. YABB a celebrity and become popular. Lift a story from timelines of a celebs, sensitize it & get some traffic. Because It gives a certain feel good jolt to the boring lives of some who are swimming in frustrations occasioned by job loss, Owu, heartbreak, carry over courses, no promotion, no future ambition and so on. Commenting gives them a tension expel valve. And when they hide behind "anonymous" or some fictitious names, the feeling is double the potency. Everyone I know,... No, let me rephrase that. Everyone (who has their heads screwed on straight and with purpose,) works hard to make a better life for themselves. And everyday, we struggle to find new ways to achieve that. It has however become clear, that some people, who have resigned themselves to watching others struggle to make it, have a certain BEEF for whoever makes it. The beef actually, I have to agree, comes from the fact that the person they so beef, has worked hard to make it and they too may have worked equally hard, (though it's hard to believe) and are still where they are!
