Mama Peace In Trouble Again! Buhari's wife,others attack Patience Jonathan over comments on the North.

The women in Gombe State at the weekend took on the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, over her comments that people from the region gave birth to children they could not feed.

In their speeches, wife of the APC presidential candidate, Aisha Buhari, wife of Senator Danjuma Goje and wife of Gombe State APC gubernatorial candidate, Asmau Yahaya, described the statement credited to Mrs. Jonathan as unfortunate and uncalled for.

The women said the power to cause change in Nigeria remained with northerners “who have the highest number of registered voters”.
“The wife of the president is supposed to be a mother to all Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation. So, for her to say northerners are Almajiris, who beg for alms is sad. What is disturbing Patience is the large size of the northerners and we thank God for our population,” Hajiya Aisha said.

The women, who visited the palace of the emir of Gombe, urged Northerners to use their numerical strengthen for the good of the country.

Aisha Buhari said the change Nigerians were yearning for was with the youths and women she urged them to work for change.

“We mothers should prepare our children and make them good ambassadors of this region and country. We should not allow our children to be used by greedy and selfish politicians for their selfish reasons,” she said.

Also speaking, the wife of Senator Danjuma Goje, Yelwa Goje called on the youths not to allow themselves to be used for political violence.

Former minister of education and House of Representatives candidate for Nafada/Dukku federal constituency, Aishatu Jibrin Dukku, said sending children to study the Qur’an does not mean they cannot cater for them.
