Nick Raymond wanted to thank his mum Rosemary and dad Leo for all their support during his lifetime and pressed them on their dream holiday destination before unveiling the surprise.
The moment they unwrapped the gift was filmed by the family and was so adorable it has since gone viral after being posted on YouTube.
Rosemary, 70, exclaims "get out of here" as she realises what her son has done and begins to break into tears.
Leo remains seated but is clearly overwhelmed by the generous gift.
Rosemary worked as an executive assistant at a school for nearly 20 years and Leo held down a series of roles to support the family before retiring recently.

Nick said: "Through the last few months, I was able to find out that Hawaii is the one place they'd really like to go for a vacation.
"My mother had told me this was not going to happen in her lifetime, seeing as it was too expensive and their bills took financial priority.
"This really hurt to hear, as my mother did the best she could her entire life to provide for my sister and I and give me the opportunities in life that I wanted.
"Even though I feel I owe them both so much more, I felt this was a good way of saying thank you."
