Game of Thrones Editor,Katherine Chappell mauled to death by lion on Safari.

Katherine Chappell, a video editor who had worked on HBO's "Game of Thrones" and popular films such as "Captian America: Winter Soldier," and "Divergent," was mauled to death by a lion last while on safari in South Africa.
Kath was volunteering in Africa to protect wildlife from poachers when the tragic incident occurred.

She was killed on Monday (a week ago)when a "lioness approached from the passenger side and bit the lady through the window," according to Scott Simpson, the assistant operations manager at Lion Park, open-air facility north of Johannesburg.

Witnesses told park officials that the windows were down, Simpson added. He said there are numerous signs warning visitors to keep them up.

A witness said-To his horror, the beast lunged forwards and bit her shoulder, before pushing into the car and fatally mauling her. Ms Chappell, 29, who had wound down her window for a close-up encounter, died from her injuries.
“It was terrifying. After the first bite, the lioness retreated from the car with blood dripping from her mouth and paw,” said Mr Govender, who was travelling in a car behind Ms Chappell.

“We all thought she was done and didn’t like what she’d just bitten. But like someone in a temper that wasn’t satisfied in a fight, she leaped back into the car and mauled the passenger."
The rangers came running in and the two lions ran off. And it was too late to do anything to save her.”
