Read what this Nigerian,good Samaritan did for a stray kid in Manila, Philippines.

A kind hearted man shared his encounter with a stray kid he met earlier yesterday the 6th Dec 2015 while at the restaurant. The man named Foghor Kagho went for his usual pancake and pasta when the lil lad went window to window  begging for food. Everybody at the restaurant ignored him until he came to the window where Foghor was seated. Read what transpired between the two below;

"So this happened today.
Went for my usual pancakes & pasta (yes I’m a fat pig) and it was packed full of families and other guests. Was given the window seat right by the exit and I didn’t like that but nothing could keep me from pancakes. Plus it
was either that or the big family size table in the middle with eyes all around it. The horror of being watched.

This kid goes window to window begging to be fed but got no sympathy. Families with kids his age or older, completely ignored him. He got to mine and looked me dead in the eyes and I could see the anguish hunger had wrath in them. So I signalled him to come over but he was stopped by the staff because management don’t allow stray kids in.

I had to go out to get him in cos he had fled the scene after being waved away. Finally got him back and asked to be moved to the family table so we could share the table together (my old table didn’t have a spare seat for him).

As he ordered his pancakes and sat picking dirt out his dust covered fingers, I wondered why he got no sympathy. I’ve been told these kids are put on the streets by a syndicate and money given to them only ends up funding crime. To that I always say “give them food and not money”.

Food finally arrives, we’re eating and people are staring at us wondering what’s going on. The staff are smiling and serving him like a king. Slowly he starts to relax and swing his feet while he ate. I didn’t realise I had started to shed tears. I was deep in thought about what the future holds for this kid.

His next meal, does he even have a place to sleep, what will he become in another 10years, does he ever get shown love like the kid seated opposite our table. Same age, same height but miles apart in quality of life.

All of this weighed me down and hurt my heart so bad cos I realised what I did for him isn’t enough. Not for him or the other billion kids in the world that are born into same conditions. Had to leave the table to get myself together, I mean a big black man ain’t supposed to cry.

I share this not for Facebook likes or a shot at going viral. The photos of us were secretly taken by a lady who was observing our interaction and only shown to me afterwards, she happily obliged to send them to me. I share this because this is what being human is about. If we take a break from ourselves and see what’s really around us. Evil people exploit these kids for personal gain but don’t let one man’s evil stop you from being a blessing to a life. That’s what living is about – YOU ARE GIVEN SO YOU CAN CONTINUE GIVING.

Right as I got my wallet out to pay the bill, I was told that a couple had paid for my bill and left without a word. I was left with just the invoice and these words written at the bottom – GOD BLESS YOU. Didn’t take up to an hour for the good I did to come back to me full circle.
I left feeling more human than ever. Damn it, there go my eyes again. Big men don’t cry, or do they?
YOU ARE GIVEN SO YOU CAN CONTINUE GIVING."
