Brad Pitt Calls Angelina Jolie's Decision To Have a Double Mastectomy ''Heroic''

Sweet-heart partner of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pit has spoken out in support of her decision to go public about having a mastectomy (a surgery done to remove breast) and planning to have another one, he called the decision simply heroic. Jolie is found to be carrying the BRCA1 gene which gives a higher chance of contracting ovarian and breast cancer, a disease that killed her actress mother, Marcheline Bertrand aged 56.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, he said: “Having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie’s choice, as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic. I thank our medical team for their care and focus. It doesn't have to be a scary thing.

“All I want for is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children. This is a happy day for our family.”
