A 4-year-old girl, who was brutalized by her father and step-mother for bed wetting, has been rescued by the Bayelsa State Police Command.

The minor, simply identified as Goodness, was tortured daily by her yet-to-be named parents, but the last straw that broke the camel’s back was when they brutalized her with a hot boiling ring.
It was learnt that concerned neighbours were said to have reported the matter to the police who stormed their apartment in Yenagoa, the state capital and rescued the girl.

The state Police spokesperson, Asinim Butswat, said the parents are currently being investigated and the girl, who sustained high degree burns is receiving medical attention.
