Photos:Kelly Rowland Confirms Engagement: 'It Happened On Skype'

Kelly Rowland is engaged to wed her manager and boyfriend Tim Witherspoon. "She has been showing [the ring] off to friends and family and is very happy," a source close to the "Kisses Down Low" singer, 32, which is exactly what the X Factor judge did during a pre-taped episode of The Queen Latifah Show set to air Wednesday, Dec. 18.

The gorgeous, glowing star finally confirmed and discussed her engagement during Wednesday's segment -- "He put a ring on it," she said, blushing, as she held up her left hand for the audience.

"It's been a while," Rowland told the show host. "We've kept it very, very low for years, to be completely honest."

So how exactly did he propose? "It happened, um, on Skype," the singer said. One fateful night, while Rowland was "in Bulgaria somewhere," she and her beau were chatting via the video chat platform. "It was so late' we were just staring at each other," she said of the moment right before Witherspoon popped the question. Luckily, he later followed it up with a beautiful diamond ring, which Latifah playfully admired during the interview.
