River State Police Commissioner Joseph Mbu Asked to Clear His Desk.

In yet another victory for Governor Rotimi Amaechi, the Police commissioner for River State has today been asked to clear is desk and be ready for re assignment at the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Jos where he will receive further instructions about his future.

We are all too familiar with the political melee going on in River State and Joseph Mbu has played what some will call a very one sided role in all of it. He has been accused of working with higher authority to undermine Governor Amaechi of Rivers State's government and for his lacklustre response during the attempted impeachment and forceful takeover of the state Assembly by the political opposition in Rivers State .

The President is the commander in chief and has the final say over the armed forces, so i really do not blame him, i think he does not want to disobey direct orders just as the Governor has to the President. Political matters, deep stuff.

There's been no comment from the Nigerian Police to corroborate this news.
