More commonly known as Lil' Kim, Jones has taken a stab at rapper-singer Nicki Minaj in a diss track called "Identity Theft." She promoted the track by tweeting a photo of Minaj on a mockup of a New Jersey driver's license with Jones' own particulars or an approximation of them (the rapper does indeed live in Alpine).Holding no punches about who the diss is about, the graphic (see tweet below) is actually the official cover art for the song. In case you were wondering, the address listed, "254 Wilson Street," does not show up on Google Maps as a street address in Alpine (though Cresskill certainly has an Alpine Drive).
"Anything you try to do, I done did it," says Kim, 40, in the song. (That's one of the tamer statements). "I gave birth to your style," she tells Minaj, 31, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj. "Identity Theft" is currently trending worldwide on Twitter, as is Lil' Kim in the United States.
More after the cut.
This is hardly the first time Kim and Minaj have been at odds.
Just this week, the Alpine resident released a Minaj diss set to the rapper's remix of Beyonce's "Flawless."
