Entertainment godfather Alibaba Sends Stern Warning to Faltering Arik Airline.

Legendary Comedian Rt and Entertainment godfather, Ali baba recounts his not so good experience with Arik air and rue his decision to fly on a day that ended in missed opportunities .

''First things first. Please @flyarikair this is a feedback. Nothing more. In 2015, the Governor of Delta State called me to be part of the Nigerian Medical Association summit as one of the MCees. I arrived Asaba a day before and booked my flight out for 12:45. I had to be at the Dangote Cement Awards that was happening that day from 5pm at the Eko Hotel. I got to the airport and checked in. They announced a slight delay of 1 hour. That was slight. I called BAYO of #EffectsLogistics to ask if the flight had left Lagos. He said they would soon start boarding. That meant that 1 hour delay was economized truth. Anyway, we finally took off at few minutes after 3pm. At that time, I knew I was already going to be late. I called Alhaji Aliko. And he teased me. Why didn't to charter a flight? I replied, "Alhaji this is Ali Baba not FO". "HAHAHA... Just Hurry up and come." Any I got to the venue at 6:45pm. By the way, i had sent @lafupcfr ahead... but the organizing committee members swore that neither he nor i would perform. And rightly so, since they had gone on and recruited @gbengaadeyinka1stgcon to fill in for me. I then sent a text to Alhaji that I had arrived but his people had refused me performing. It took @gbengaadeyinka1stgcon and Alhaji to override the committee. When I finally got on stage, Alhaji and his friends said it was an overkill. I personally believe it was. I was on a speed of a minimum of 5 punchlines per joke. I was on mortal mode. Of course I was not invited in 2016. The #DangoteCement award is an event I had hosted for as long as it was set up, except when I had other prior bookings.

So, you can imagine how, through no fault of mine, I was deprived the opportunity to host the award because of change in ETA by an airline. Yet, if you miss your flight you get surcharged. So when the committee called me last Tuesday to say, Alhaji said to call you. I did not think twice. I had to make it up to him. In a nutshell, it is important for all airlines, not just Arik, to know that their flight schedule and delays, can have consequences worse than a missed flight. But as we say in China "water wey you go drink no go pass you".
